Terms of Service

Last updated October 15, 2026

These terms cover your use of Self OS: the website, the web app, the macOS app, and the API and agent connectors. Self OS is a personal project offered by Leonardo Bork, an individual in Brazil, not a company. By creating an account or using Self OS, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

The service

Self OS is an organizer for the Getting Things Done method, shared by you and the AI agents you connect. It is in early access: features may change, be added, or be removed. It is currently free. If that ever changes, I will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

Your account

You need a valid email address to sign in. Keep access to your email, API keys, and connected agents secure; actions taken with them count as yours. Tell me at leonardomerker@gmail.com if you suspect someone else has access. Accounts are personal and you must be at least 18.

Your content

What you put in Self OS stays yours. You give me only the permission needed to store, process, and display it so the service works, including sending it to the AI features and integrations you turn on. You can export your data at any time.

Agents and integrations

You decide which agents and services connect to your account and what they may do. An agent with write permission can create and change items in your space. You are responsible for the agents you authorize and for following the terms of the third-party services you connect, such as Google, Wispr Flow, OpenAI, or Anthropic. You can revoke any key or connection in the app.

AI output

Summaries, suggestions, and briefings are generated by AI models and can be incomplete or wrong. Check them before relying on them for important decisions.

Acceptable use

Do not use Self OS to break the law, store content you have no right to, attack or overload the service, try to access other people’s accounts, or resell access. I may suspend accounts that do this.

Availability and changes

I run Self OS on my own and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything critical. If I decide to shut Self OS down, I will give at least 30 days’ notice whenever possible so you can export your data.

Warranty and liability

Self OS is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect damages, lost data, or lost profits arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Brazil’s Consumer Defense Code or other mandatory law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Self OS at any time and ask me to delete your account at leonardomerker@gmail.com. I may end or suspend access if these terms are violated, telling you why when I can.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes may be brought in the courts of your place of residence.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, I will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use Self OS after that means you accept the new terms.
